Well, I thought “Why not?” To know why I am writing this, go here.
I want people to know how beautiful they are. Whether they are tall and lanky (like me) or hate the fact their their eyes are brown instead of blue. I want them to see how wonderful they were made to be. God has placed this on my heart heavier and heavier over the past few years. In October 2008, my life-long mentor and best friend passed away. She always reminded me to be confident and inspire those around me, just by being me. With every opportunity, she influence me to be a better person. When I lost her, I wasn’t sure how I could go on without her and her wise and inspiring presence. I hate being in front of people, but I had the courage to get up and talk about her at her funeral. I am not a risk taker. But I had the strength to start my own business, at age 19 no less. Not because of her necessarily, but because of what she taught me. Because she never doubted me. Because from the minute I was born she had great expectation’s for me and my life. And when someone believes in you to succeed, nothing else really seems to matter. Not your fear of losing them. Not your fear failing. Nothing.
So why do I take pictures? To show those around me how amazingly fabulous they are. And to show them how they can be a inspiration, just by being who they are.
